Deck Repair and Replacement

A tired deck is a safety problem as well as an eyesore. We repair, rebuild and replace decks across Northwest Arkansas, from a few bad boards to a full tear-out and new deck.

Rebuilt deck with new railing on the back of a Northwest Arkansas home

Signs your deck needs work

  • Soft or spongy boards, or boards that crack when stepped on
  • Wobbly railings or loose stair treads
  • Rust or pulling away at the ledger where the deck meets the house
  • Posts that are rotted at the base
  • Boards that are cupped, splintered or badly weathered

If you see any of these, call before someone gets hurt. We will look at the framing, the footings and the house connection, tell you plainly whether a repair makes sense, and quote it free.

Repair or replace?

If the framing is sound, new boards, railings and stairs can make a deck look and feel new for far less than a full rebuild. If the framing is rotted or the deck was built wrong, patching it only hides the problem, and we will tell you so. A new deck can be rebuilt on the same footprint or redesigned with a different shape, steps, a bench or a cover.

Common questions

Do you repair or replace old decks?

Yes. We replace worn boards, railings and stairs, and we rebuild rotted framing so the deck is safe again. Call or text for a free look.

Do I need a permit to build a deck in Northwest Arkansas?

Many cities in Northwest Arkansas require a permit for a new deck, especially one attached to the house, and the rules are different from city to city. We walk you through what your city needs before work starts.

How much does a deck cost in Northwest Arkansas?

The price depends on the size, the height off the ground, the materials (treated lumber or composite), railings, stairs and the site. We give you a free written quote that separates material cost from labor, and we will meet or beat any written deck quote in Northwest Arkansas.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. We have given free estimates in Northwest Arkansas for over 25 years, even when we do not get the job. Call 479-439-0444 or text 479-313-5177.
